This year's dates are confirmed as 4th-5th June 2016. The format is roughly the same with a 1.5 mile street sprint track, display area, clubs displays, classic parking area, bike zone etc etc. Best to keep an eye on the website, facebook page or twitter as we announce stuff. Its our 3rd year, so still fine tuning the formula for your pleasure but if you came last year expect more of the same with bells on.... We've just made our first major announcement on Friday which was the partnership with Donington Park. Read about it at coventrymotofest.com/news/2016/02/11/donington-park-partners-coventry-motofestWe are still a core team of 6-7 people organising this, all unpaid so do bear that in mind, and having a working city centre as the show area does pose difficulties. Funding and sponsorship is hard won and we are getting there. However, we do need some kit, predominantly for the track. Its stuff we would have to hire. A crowdfunding site has been set up so please share it far and wide and do pledge some money if you can www.gofundme.com/covmotofestRegards Matt www.coventrymotofest.comwww.facebook.com/coventrymotofestwww.twitter.com/CovMotoFest

Hello Matt, A big welcome to the first post on here re Motofest 2016.......finally an end to my severe withdrawal symptoms. Hoping to make it 3 in a row with "Bagheera" again this year. Also hoping (praying) for a full two days of blissfully warm weather to CROWN all the team's efforts. Will bung you some pennies on the crowdfunding site.
Ref earning some dosh towards Motofest anybody picked up on selling souvenir car attendance plates this year? I know you guys probably haven't the time/manpower to cover it, but surely there is some enterprising sign-making business in Cov that would do it in return for a share of the takings?
Having been to Motofest 2014 and 15, I'd willingly pay a reasonable fee (£10?) to get a souvenir plate for "Baggie's" garage wall, and I bet many other attendee's would like to get their plate too. You could always ask for money up front either here or in Cov on the day to see if folks were serious.
Regards
Peter

If you are planning to bring your classic car to MotoFest, and not on a club stand or bringing a motorbike, then you'll need to book a display space, We have a dedicated classic only area with 300 spaces per day so should be enough. Booking also gets you on the parade lap at the end of day. As last year, the parade lap will be on our ring road sprint track. Tickets are FREE.... Cars must be pre 1996 and the car details on the ticket must match the car you arrive in. Saturday tickets here:- www.covmotofestclassicparking040616.eventbrite.co.uk/Sunday tickets here:- www.covmotofestclassicparking050616.eventbrite.co.uk/Whilst the event is free, you can make a donation at www.gofundme.com/covmotofest Every little helps as they say and most gratefully received. Regards Matt Cov MotoFest

Thanks for the latest Matt, Bringing the mighty "Bagheera" we're coming down via the "Road to" starting in Nottingham, so if we route from home via Glossop we can also give the Snake a go on the way down to the Nottingham start.
See you there Sat (afternoon so we understand it) and Sun. Donation already made.
Here's to good weather as the CROWNing glory for the team's hard work.

I'll be there, is there any chance we can book a space for and maybe even run the 2016 Phoenix Racing Formula Student Car? Would be nice to bring it out for the event especially before Silverstone, and should have completed testing by then.

I'm afraid I'll be attending in a purely spectatoring fashion. The Vitesse decided to knock out a big end last weekend

I'll be spectating for the first time here. It feels strange for sure! That is unless an M3 of either an E46 or E36 is welcome, or whatever else I decide to buy before then LOL! dan, what's happening to the Moggy? It's always great to see it out.

an E46 or E36 is welcome, . cars must be pre 96 so an E36 would be OK.......but ideally you should be looking elswhere with your budget ;-)

Went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, just about to get my Mini back on the road so have booked a space for Sunday. Will make sure to make a donation later when I get home!
Edit: Donation made - surprised you haven't raised more to be honest, what with the popularity of the event... every little helps though!
