If you are planning to bring your classic car to MotoFest, and not on a club stand or bringing a motorbike OR booked on the "Run to Coventry tour", then you'll need to book a display space. We have a dedicated classic only area with 300 spaces per day so should be enough. Booking also gets you on the parade lap at the end of day. As last year, the parade lap will be on our ring road sprint track. Tickets are FREE.... Cars must be pre 1996 and the car details on the ticket must match the car you arrive in. Saturday tickets here:- www.covmotofestclassicparking040616.eventbrite.co.uk/Sunday tickets here:- www.covmotofestclassicparking050616.eventbrite.co.uk/Whilst the event is free, you can make a donation at www.gofundme.com/covmotofest Every little helps as they say and most gratefully received.

"Bagheera" is now the possessor of a shiny new MOT with no advisories, so (hopefully not tempting fate) we are still "go" to be there.
All things being equal we will see you all there.
Once again thanks to all the team for their hard work for Motofest 3.

I'll be spectating for the first time here. It feels strange for sure! That is unless an M3 of either an E46 or E36 is welcome, or whatever else I decide to buy before then LOL! dan, what's happening to the Moggy? It's always great to see it out. Still being used as much as possible. Been to a few MMOC events (came away from one with best in show!) and the Donington Historic. Just had some little updates done at JLH but my focus of late has been the jag as it's my steed of choice for this Le Mans 24 year. You probably wont miss it at Motofest as it should be stickered up by then in period green and white TWR race livery

Thanks for that Matt. After so much anticipation I had already checked the link and was hoping it wasn't right. Compared to "classics in a town centre" sounds (and on StreetView) looks drear! We'll pass on that. :-(

Have you registered for the inaugural "Road To Coventry" Tour run yet? The inaugural "Road to Coventry" supported by Vintage Tyres of Beaulieu will take place on Saturday 4th June 2016. Paying homage to the first running in 1986 of one of the best known classic road events of the modern era (known to enthusiasts as the Norwich Union Classic), crews taking part on the Road to Coventry will have a choice of two start venues. The North and South routes will start from locations near to both Bath and Nottingham. Whilst the event is untimed and the average speed for the entire route is set at an average of no higher than 30mph, the route has been selected to give a variety of road types. Cars will be pre-numbered according to the year of first registration and started at one minute intervals with the oldest cars starting at the head of the field. The event is being organised as a Touring Assembly and so can be enjoyed by all classic car enthusiasts holding a valid UK driving licence. No motorsport experience is required and all road legal cars built before 1992 are eligible. One or two non-speed related handling “tests” will be included. These require no specific skills or experience and are intended to be a fun element achievable in any size or shape of car. After an enjoyable day of classic motoring along specifically chosen routes, including a lunch stop, entrants will meet up mid-afternoon for coffee outside the City of Coventry on Saturday 4th June. Crews will then drive to a dedicated parking area in the city centre, where all the action of Motofest takes place. After gathering at Motofest, crews on the Road to Coventry will drive in cavalcade around the Ring Road, closed for the event, before driving to the Coventry Stadium to be entertained to an evening of Stock Car racing where a round of the Formula One Stock Car Championship is taking place. At the stadium there will be dedicated parking and a hospitality viewing area with a light evening meal for all crews on the Road to Coventry (you will be free to leave at any time during the evening). For those who wish to return to Motofest on Sunday 5th June, the Road to Coventry dedicated parking area in the city centre will once more be available together with the chance to be a passenger in a “drift car” with a trained “drift” driver carrying out demonstrations as part of Motofest. On Sunday you will be free to enjoy everything that Motofest can offer and be able to return to your car to leave the site at a time convenient to you. Lunch can be pre-booked for those wishing to stay all day – details of the lunch options available will be sent to all crews closer to the event. The route for the Road to Coventry has been planned by Peter Nedin, a name well known to the world of classic and historic road events. Peter has been involved in motorsport for over 45 years and for many years has been active in the organisation of competitive and non-competitive classic and historic road events throughout Europe (including Iceland). Event guide now available for download from Coventry Motofest website. Event map however fails to download, giving a pic of an American Oval racer (tail no 404, page not found error v clever!). The "Contact the team" tag on the same page goes nowhere. Needs a looking at people.
