Hi, i'm selling my Mitsubishi GTO
The car is a 1991 in rare Fiji blue, imported to the UK in 2002 and therefore seen much less of our salty UK roads.
The car is showing 130,000km on the clock - around 80,000 miles.
MOT'd until March 2017,
3.0 V6 auto - 220 bhp model.
Constant 4WD and 4 wheel steer.
Electric windows,
Electric seat - drivers,
CD player,
Central locking & alarm
Lovely paintwork,
Some of the things I have done under my ownership are as follows, all done just before the MOT in March
Rear brake lines replaced due to corrosion,
Rear discs and pads fitted,
2 x rear tyres fitted for MOT,
New end clutch to fix 4th gear OD - Common fault, easy replacement without removing gearbox
Carried out repair to n/s/r quarter behind bumper, its seems it had been repaired previously (not very well) and noticed water was pooling from leaking past the aerial. So I fit and welded a new zinc plate then I treated.
The rear bumper crash bar was corroded so I removed the bumper to replace and whilst off I treated the rear of the car with hammerite and then wax oiled. I then fitted a replacement good crash bar.
Full interior valet,
The underneath has already been treated by a previous owner and therefore solid.
The car starts on the button and drives great, it is fitted with a full stainless system by powerflo, and has a lovely note to it without being stupidly loud.
The alloys are made by TSW, and again were fitted by a previous owner, they are in excellent condition without any vibration or unbalancing issues.
Since owning the car I have been giving it regular runs when possible and its drives fine, it get up to temperature, and stays there (no overheating at all) and both the fans kick in as they should.
The coolant is nice and green with no signs of any oil.
Some of the issues to mention.
I don't have a great deal of history other than previous MOTs,
I have checked the timing belt and it looks is good condition see pic), and has definitely been replaced at some point as its a Gates belts - I'd recommend getting it replaced as I'm unsure when it was last done.
I only have one key, although pretty sure this is just a straight forward recut.
A slight bit of bubbling on the rear arch but nothing major.
The steering wheel is cracking a bit but never bothered me really.
Other than that it is in great condition for a 25 year old motor.
I'm in no rush to sell, as insurance is only around £250 for the year (classic)
I'm located around 5 mins from junction 29 M6 in Preston. thanks
Sorry for all the pictures, I just wanted to try and show as much as possible.
Thanks for looking.
