RetroWarwick: Sunday 14 August 2016 (& movie night)

This years date is the 14th August, and its our 7th year. We have space for approx 130 cars at any one time. Last year we were full at 1030am, so it pays to be in early. Classics, rods, custom etc all welcome as long as they are pre1990 to ensure a classic theme.

No clubs stands please - i like different brands all mixed together.
No biker clubs/gangs - we simply don't have space
No scooter clubs/gangs - we simply don't have space

Traders only from classic vehicles (prebooked) - this year i have:
- RedBanger in Citroen H van
- The Sausage Dog with their Royal Enfield
- Annies Antics vinage ice cream van
- Camperccino - splitty camper coffees

And obviously being in historic Warwick town centre, there are 4 pubs on site (plus others), numerous cafes, shops, a museum, shops and a big castle.

For the Saturday night (13th), i've arranged a car movie night at Bar Catalan in Warwick. We have the outside heated terrace bar with big screen wifi sound etc etc. Estrella and local ale on tap plus tapas food to order. The owner is a petrolhead and a great venue. Starts at 8pm with 3 short teaser films with the main feature at 9pm (currently list includes Bullet, Le Mans, Grandprix etc). Lots of hotels in the area so come for the weekend.

If you are coming on sunday but don't manage to park up in the show because we are full, please have a cruise around and spread the love! There is on street parking in the streets in the town. Its usually free on sundays to park but check the street signs to make sure.

Real good mix of cars.... the Missus was gutted the red Renault 5 Turbo 2 wasn't there though.... but old Porsches, MK1 Golfs and a Costa made her day.

As always, this was a static show with a difference . It is great to wonder around, meet a variety of people that your usual pub car park meet may not have as well as benefitting the local community. Isn't this what shows are all about?

The film night was a great addition and despite the humble turnout, there is the potential for growth, alot like when the show started all those years ago.

As a bonus it is around the first time I have ever sold a car at a car show with plenty of interest, something I've never managed at other shows, where there are tyre kickers aplenty (i.e wanting a £5k car for £1.5k, but then who doesn't?). Maybe I sold it too cheap.

Indeed I have. I've decided to get all sensible and silly. Prioritise getting the M3 in order, but it is certainly more than usable .
