Thanks guys appreciate the positive comments. Believe it or not it has mot till this month. I could have done repair patches to the inner wings but to me it's defiantly worth replacing them. I also think if it hadn't been so low milage and one owner I may have done local repairs. But to do justice to the car I plan on doing it to the best of my ability although I'm not going for show winning quality I still want to do as good.

Yeh it looks OK to be honest so does the rear chassis rails. Will probably find something wrong though when I start digging. I want to try do it in stages. Front end then rear end and floor but will probably mot it's once the front end is done and use it a bit dry days of course.

Always interesting seeing the construction/structural ideas of various cars, especially those that have to be light & frugal with their metal.

The metal is so thin it's unreal it can make it a nightmare sometimes to weld.

Small up date on this guys been quite busy with life lately and try to get on it when I can. Bought one of these to grind down the weld that I couldn't reach with the angle grinder. Then set about making a little repair panel for this area. Cut it a bit short so added a small peice on. Little piece I had to work with. All primed up. Kept having stupid thoughts about the engine not fitting in properly due to having the engine mounting panel off so thought I better put this to bed. All fits fine as it should. So them took it back out. Only a couple of more little repairs to do then onto the passenger side.
