Unfinished project
I'm currently having an automotive clear out and selling this project will free up the space I need in my garage. I bought the rolling shell earlier in the year and I've spent considerable time and money on getting the engine bay tidied ready for the engine to go in. The sub-frame is in great condition after being powder coated and I've fitted new front wheel bearings, track rod ends, ball joints and bushes.
I've replaced the front brake pipes and master cylinder and have a box of new pads. The car came to me with braided hoses and bigger discs, all that left brake wise is rebuild or replace the calipers and sliders. There are two set of front calipers and sliders with the car that need attention. The rear brake hoses could do with being replaced.
The engine and gearbox is from a Renault 5 GT turbo and I've fitted a new head gasket, head bolts and water pump as well as intake and exhaust manifold studs, nuts and gasket. The carburetor has been cleaned and rebuilt using a rebuild kit with new gaskets and diaphragms. I have re-rooted the coolant system and it has an ally radiator, separate oil cooler and upgraded side mount inter-cooler. I have new service items including oil filter, oil, spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm. The gearbox has fresh oil in too.
The interior has the front seats from a Renault 11 turbo and the rears come with the car to match but currently the originals are fitted. The steering wheel, clocks came from a Renault 5 GT turbo and I have a gear knob from one that come with the car too.
The car comes with most of the parts needed to get it on the road and I can throw in quite a few spares I have laying around.
The biggest thing that needs taking care of is the wiring and a small amount of welding. Its not going to win any beauty contests but I think it will be a ridiculous amount of fun to drive. I'm open to offers and I know a reliable guy for transporting it who does great rates.
