For sale is my 1990 Honda Legend Coupe 2.7 V6 24V auto in Burgundy over Silver. It's the best colour combination and looks superb.
This Honda Legend coupe is a mk 1 first generation and was the flagship model for Honda when it was new and had more standard features than most of its rivals.
It is a very rare car now a days. I have not seen another one on the road for ages and only seen one for sale earlier on this year if I remember correctly.
I have always liked the legend coupe's and have been looking for a nice one to come along that does not need a lot of work to keep it on the road. Then this one came along. It is my second car and gets used occasionally. It is very cheap to insure and costs me under £200 on classic car insurance.
Standard Features.
Power Steering
Remote Central Locking
Tilting steering wheel
Leather interior
Electric Windows x 4
Electric Sunroof
Electric drivers seat
Electric mirrors
Electric aerial
Electric boot release
Electric seatbelt hander
Cruise control
Alloy wheels
ALB anti lock brakes
Headlight wash wipers
Wide arches front and rear
etc.
Extras features.
Power flow stainless steel exhaust
CD player.
Some of you might remember this at Japfest at silverstone earlier on this year in April 2016.
There are no nocks, clunks, bangs or whining noises.
The timing belt was replaced at 60000 miles.
The mileage is a very low for a 26 year old car at just under 85000 miles.
It comes with part service history and old MOT's also some bills and receipts (see photos).
The MOT expires on 21 April 2017.
Ownership history
1st owner Mrs Phylis Ivy Davis bought the Honda Legend brand new on 10/11/1990. She owned it for just over 6 years. The 2nd owner Mr Ernest Woods on 23/01/1997. He owned it for about a year and a half. The 3rd owner Mr Paul Webb on 21/08/1998. He owned it for over 9 years. The 4th owner Mr David James Reid on 13/12/2007. He owned it for about 7/8 years and then was parked up for a year or so. I bought it from his son on 02/02/2016.
Since my ownership I have changed the oil (5w 30 fully synthetic) and oil filter when I bought it. I have recently replaced the alternator and battery.
All the alloys wheels and tyres are in excellent condition.
Overall this Honda Legend looks very retro and cool and it drives excellent. It is very smooth and comfortable as you would expect from an executive Honda. The interior is ivory coloured leather and is a really nice place to be in. The body work is in pretty good condition for its age and looks really good but has some minor imperfections close up. (See photos). The worst bit is the passenger side rear arch where it meets the sill. (See photos). This can easily be sorted if need be but doesn't bother me as I like a bit of patina.
The reason I'm sell it is that I need to down size on my fleet of classic cars.
I will be extremely sad to see this go as I have loved and enjoyed every minute of it. My passengers have also enjoyed it and always give good comments as to how comfortable it is. On the roads and at petrol stations people also comment on how good and cool it looks But I think it time to let some one else to enjoy it.
This Honda Legend has to be seen to be appreciated.
