This always attracts a good turnout and is well worth a visit - family commitments meant I couldn't make it this year Thanks for the pics.

That (real) Stratos came out of our workshop. Colour change (back to its original livery), fiber glass repair etc... and now the owner uses it all the time. Last I heard, he'd just got back from a jaunt to Italy to meet the first driver.
I think that Mustang is one of ours as well (last picture).

Great pix - Not bad film for the £! - Who develops 35mm film on boxing day? I couldn't even buy fags anywhere so do you have your own darkroom?
The Lancia Stratos is my all time greatest - Did it really get designed/created in 1975 or is the plate incorrect?

The Lancia Stratos is my all time greatest - Did it really get designed/created in 1975 or is the plate incorrect? It's a '74 car, production started in 1973. Fun (anorak) fact, it's the same car that was used to advertise the Ferrari 430 based one off. That never went ahead as Ferrari wouldn't sell them the cars.

cjhillman , these pictures in the original post were develpoped by my friend, he is well into his film photography, and will develop them for me very quickly, usually for a crate of beer! His chemistry is often not in the best condition, as he's usually used it a lot by the time my film gets put through it, and he's not too fussy about temperatures, however it does the job for me. As a rule i use the develpoper in ASDA, it used to be run by ASDA, but now it's run by a company called 'Photo-Me' in the last three or four years i've been using ASDA i've never had any problems with them, i've always got my films back, and they've always been ok. Photo-Me i have only used so far three times, and so far so good! Here's an example from my latest batch of films done by Photo-Me. Ilford XP2. Very old Kodakolor Gold. It's costs £2 per film to develop, but thats without prints, and its a two day service. They'll put up to four films on a CD for an extra £1, so thats the route i take, todays batch of four films and CD, £9!

Lovely photos of some lovely machines. I find myself missing the days of having films developed. Many years ago I used to develop my own when I had the facilities to do so, but they're long since gone unfortunately.
I can't quite make it out on my phone screen... But is that stratos chained to the ground?

No the Stratos isn't chained to the ground, although i had to do a double take to make sure! The chains seem to be holding the trailing edge of the mudflaps up? I've no idea why, the only thing i can think of is that they rub along on the road which would wear them out, but perhaps when it's on gravel stages, you want then to rub along the ground, but i've no idea why.

Ah I can see it now, makes total sense, I suppose when backing up, it would be possible to run them over and rip them off. I wish I had something that needed such serious mud flaps that had to be held back with a chain!
