i have had a quick look on the forum and i haven't found anything like this, so if there is already something like this happening please let me know.
basically for my holiday this year i would like to do a road trip across Europe in my Porsche 924. i want to spend about three weeks and drive down to Croatia. spend the first week driving down through Belgium, Germany, (visit the nurburg ring), Austria and Hungary. spend about a week island hopping in Croatia then drive back through Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and France.
my first approach in doing this was to find somebody on travel forums, just one other person to come in the car with me because my back seats are so cramped. but you wouldn't believe the amount of people who say that they are completely up for this and then turn out to be absolute time wasters.
so my new approach is to see if i can find anybody who would like to join me in there own cars! and group together a retro convoy. i know there are events such as rust to rome, but i think there quite expensive to join and i want to do the trip in my own car, not buy a cheap wreck.
so if anybody is interested in this idea or could point me towards something like this that is already happening, that would be great!
