Mitsubishi Starion 2.0 Turbo Rare Classic Retro Drift Japanese RWD Coupe
Mitsubishi Starion with forged 4G63 2.0 Turbo. EX model with intercooler originally built in the Okazaki plant in 1987. Last model year 'narrow body' Starion, hence the 'wide body' rear wing, interior and bumpers. There is now approximately a dozen narrow body Starions on the road and I've never seen another one like this in the UK. This car was originally bought by me around 7 years ago, I gave it to my brother and he put back on the road. It took him 4 years and this included rebuilding the engine, repairing the body and rebuilding almost every mechanical parts of the cars as you can see in the breakdown below. I'm only the 6th owner.
MOT until December 2017 and it has circa 82K miles on the clock.
Before dismissing this car on appearance, please note that the following work has been carried out. I have a folder full of receipts totally over £10k (£5k on the engine alone).

The rust around the rear arches and outer sills (below the lowest part of the doors) has been cut out and new steel has been welded back in. Large parts of the bodywork are covered in red oxide paint which has also been lacquered to weatherproof it.
Interior
All original and in very good condition
The engine was rebuild with 81,515 miles showing on the clock by Performance Autoworks who are well known Japanese car specialists. The bottom end can handle much more power so will easily handle a bigger turbo if you want to go down that route. I have no idea of the current power output as it hasn't been dyno'd (I think a standard one is meant to produce 177 bhp). It used to have a dump valve on it but the car runs worse with it (they didn't have one as standard as they use an internal waste gate)
'500 mile' oil and filter changed at 82,091 miles using Mobil 1 Motorsport 10W-60. Service parts are easily available from Mitsubishi and eBay. I've only ever run this car on super unleaded but it's also future proof as it'll run on E10.
Not so good bits-
Obviously needs a paint, water marks/fading on roof and bonnet (or leave it be and hit the track!)
Original head unit missing
Headlight washers don't work
External door weather seals could do with being replaced if you want to be picky!
The car comes with two keys, the rear 'Starion' badge and the original 15" alloy wheels (illegal tyres) if required.
I have been driving this car around at weekends and it is amazing the attention it gets, great for the upcoming show season!
Located in Farnborough, Hampshire
Price £6000 ono
Any inspection Welcome, please remember this car is 30 years old ! It has been rebuilt to a mechanically high spec and starts and stops as it should, It is not a show queen, but it is a very rare car.
