	In the last three goes at seeing what we could find for our £1,500 on ebay in the 60s, 70s and 80s we've found some gems and a bunch of projects, of varying degrees of approachable. The 80's had the least amount of projects in it (unsurprisingly with increased galvanization and the cars being that bit younger), not it is time for the 90's I had high hopes of finding good usable cars, hopefully with some suitable retroness to them. I stopped at 95 as that is the cut off for Retro Rides Gathering (ish) and I wanted to see if you could join the fun at RRG17 for £1,500. Select the date range on the filter, stick in a max price... look for Buy It Nows/Classifieds and then things that are unlikely to go too far over the £1.5k ... we've done pretty well so far on that. Plan is to double the spend each time, up to say £12k (or maybe £24k for the fun ).

	Seven years ago I paid £1275 for this lovely C250 turbodiesel merc Fantastic car its outlasted all our newer cars And is rotfree , great cars and I'd never sell it

	There's a nice big audi 100 sport saloon car on the Gumtree. It's very clean looking and I think it was around 1,295 pounds oh and its in Ireland but on British plates.

	I bought my Saab 9000 for £700 and it's totally solid where they usually go. If the Audi 100 mentioned above is then one for sale in Northern Ireland its been up for sale for a while. There's also a late 80s Audi 80 as well for £1500 which looks pretty good as well. As far as the cars shown on the original posts it has to be the white 190e. I've had three of them and they're superb. Fancy another one at some time but would need to sell either the 75 or the 9000. Need to stop looking at threads like this. Too much temptation.

Yes Peter £450... there are bargains still out there Just not on the internet , local shop windows and word of mouth, that's how I came to own this very clean car At the price some will be thinking it's a bit rough But it's in superb nick with tons of history mot And no rust anywhere , just needing tyres and front shocks
