Good Points
Just had :
Timing belt, tensioner, water pump, new uprated kerlinger head gakset, cam seals, manifold gasket, thermostat, new fuel and air filter, new engine oil and filter. All at a cost of £550 labour and parts £120, it had the usual T series oil leak, most people would just live with this as its a common problem, but the timing belt needed doing aswell so i thought i might aswell get the whole lot done in one go at a Rover specialist, who did an amazing job. Absolutely no leaks now.
It's only done 72k miles, has a good amount of history with it, it was previously owned by a guy called Bill Masson, a concours Mini judge, and he has taken quite good care of the old Rover. The car runs great. It's a very comfy car to drive, with power steering and ABS, Electric windows at the front and electric mirrors, with remote central locking which still works perfectly fine. The interior is absolutely beautiful, a very nice place to sit. I recently bought some tailored floor mats for it to help keep the carpets in good condition too.
All in all it's really quite splendid to bomb about it and a bit different to other cars on the road so always seems to attract a glance or two at the petrol station.
Bad Points
As you can see in the pictures, the car does look lovely in it's BRG paint but it's by no means a show car, it does have the odd few age related marks, the arches are showing a bit of surface rust, but it's really not that bad to be honest. There's a slight blow from the exhaust. A slight bit of dash lift and head lining is sagging. The spare tyre is curse word and the road tyres are showing signs of age on the sidewalls, but still have good tread.
It's an honest motor that's been well looked after in it's years, and with a tiny bit more work will make a fantastic daily motor. It has plenty of MOT and runs really well, it doesn't miss a beat.
Any questions please ask. Test drives welcome and recommended! Open to offers!
Cheers, Tom
