Now sold!
Selling on my Rover 420 which I bought last June forum.retro-rides.org/thread/189151/1999-rover-420-gsi-sold, as I'm picking up a 620Ti this coming weekend.
MOT till March 2018
Cruise control
Air con
Full cream leather interior with no rips or tears
83k, closing on 84k miles (will increase only slightly)
Original Rover radio/cassette and 6 disc changer with steering remote
2 keys, 2 fobs (both fobs recently refurbished with new cases)
Lots of history
Had a new alternator fitted before I purchased last year, and in my ownership has had:
4 new Dunlop tyres and alignment in October
New backbox in October
2 x oil changes
New front disks/pads in September, new rear pads in February
Some welding to get through the MOT in February
Cosmetically, pretty good, one small dent on the NSR door which I've taken a close-up of. Cleans up nicely.
I was using this for an 80 mile a day commute but moved closer to work last year so it's been doing a short commute in the week but has been taken for good runs most weekends, back to Derby to see the folks, and to Wales for holiday, it's never let me down.
Could maybe do with a bearing or CV joint (I'm not a mechanic, can you tell?) as it's a tad grumbly when turning right, but it's not got any worse over the last 9 months or so since I noticed it.
I'm looking for£350 ono £300 ono, I think the additional £100 over what I paid last year reflects the relatively new tyres and brakes but happy to consider reasonable offers. Excellent runaround with enough poke for day-to-day (136hp), lovely comfy seats, cruise control and nice cold air-con, what's not to love/like/tolerate! (Depending on your point of view).
Pictures below, surface rust on brakes is because I'd just finished washing it and the close-up of the dent makes it look worse than it is.
