1996 Lexus GS300 Auto 155k miles
Dark navy blue with grey leather. Electric everything (seats, sunroof, steering column, cruise, 12 stack cd etc) and in true Lexus fashion it all still works, even the easy entry steering column.
MOT to Nov - advisories on last were exhaust leak (I have had welded ) and front tyres cracking.
I bought this in Dec 16 from an old guy who had owned it for 10 years. I am the fifth owner and V5 is in my name.
Car has two keys and all books and manuals, Service book stamped up to 2007 when previous owner bought it and have a few receipts (not all) showing works carried out annually by local garage during his tenure.
Car drives really well, always starts first turn, and gearbox works without delay or hesitation warm or cold. Doesn't drop fluids or use any oil/water. I had new Brembo front discs and pads fitted just after purchase.as discs were warped. It's a real comfy cruiser.
The pictures are a little flattering as the car is a bit cosmetically challenged. It has lacquer peel to the osr pillar, and various scuffs and bumps at the front and rear. The alloys have also succumbed to the usual Lexus surface corrosion but lose no air. Only spot of rust is a small surface patch in middle of OSR door. The interior leather is cracked on the drivers seat due to dryness/use but there are no rips or tears and the seats haven't collapsed.
The climate control works really well (and can freeze you) but it looses gas after a few weeks.i had it filled with dye and traced the leak to a rusty pipe just where it goes into the condensor at the front.
Also there is an exhaust knock on rough surfaces and the boot struts are failing.
Spare wheel, jack and tools are all present.. I also have one remote fob but it only works intermittently - looking at it the solder inside looks a little dubious - so I just use a key.
Selling as I have seven cars and one is just coming out of restoration so I need the space. Nice car for half the price of an iPhone !
