OK so late to the party - mainly because I've been really enjoying all the other
- threads full of pictures
- links to other galleries
- Videos of stuff I didn't see
Firstly apologies for the content being paddock based in entirety - I don't get out much!!!
So without further ado lets kick this off
Dave checking out the skids - we negotiated a 5 second rule initially (on length of skids) - remember as a kid if you dropped your toast providing you picked it up quick enough it was OK to eat it.
but then we agreed that as the toast didn't have butter or jam on it probably 10 secs was still OK - some people stretched that!!!!
Have a start line launch as a billy bonus shot
dollywobbler in pre-lightening stage - he'd asked by email and I'd forgotten to ask Shelsley team if it was OK so I scuttled off to ask and came back with the news that Dave "the head chef" he says yes (provided the front doors stay on)
I didn't get any pictures of it after panels were removed as everytime I saw it I laughed too much
Frankenhealey was gaoded into action seeing a 2CV challenge and started to remove the doors on Pitstop's car (This is all true) however Lauren put her foot down (in both ways) and doors were re-fitted
boffer8 adopting the Hill Climbers stare - focused on the hill no time for any distraction
I like it when people remove bonnets - I can see what's underneath
I know we can't have favorites but dfms911 's Escort is one of mine - I guess I'll have to wait another year to try and get in the passenger seat
(Not David's fault in any way he offered several times but we ran the paddock with two people this year and that was a little bit of a stretch at times)
One of the ladies of the Hut gewy 's better half Gillian got more runs up the hill than I did (We needed to clock up some runs when it thinned out in the afternoon to beat last years target - which we did)
What I love about the show is Variety variety and variety fulvia1436 's err Fulvia demonstrating that
That 3-Type (Credit to the team that got it to the line - a bit of notice that you wanted to do laps of the paddock while the hill was live would have helped but like most situations on the day we make decisions on the hoof...... Sorry no we don't do that we have a full proof plan for every possible eventuality and a back up plan for that too.....
BiAS 's Ford Ka spinning up the wheels (Puma 1.7 engine)
Nice touch on the badge - how many people saw that..... (Yeah most of you I'm sure)
So following up on the badging theme - I love things like this
Another one that kept inside the 10 sec rule
Now I know all of you won't want to see a whole bunch of shots of the same car with smoke pouring off the tyres so it's time for the first Gif I reckon
Please work..........
