Updated 16th Oct. Passed MOT today (with advisories - see pic link for details. Fail at first attempt was just sticky door handle now sorted. Brakes are absolutely fine just need re-bedding in after the car sat on the drive for a while - I did some emergency stops this morning before the MOT and she pulled up/locked up no problem and in a straight line). New battery fitted with 3 year warranty.
So, she's good to go for another year! I've only increased the price to cover my costs
Time to let go of my much loved B3 Wagon. I just haven't had the time to drive her this year with other stuff going on in my life. Anyway, bla bla bla she's been sitting on the drive and now I'm moving house so she needs a new home. I know there will be people interested in spares, but breaking the car on my driveway is just not feasible sorry folks.
I’ve owned the car for 7 years and nearly 50k miles in which time it's been a legend and turned in an average of low to mid 40's MPG all day long.
When I had her MOT'd last year the car needed some welding on the sills, and I also had the cambelt/water pump done and rear trailing arm bushes done.

1991 Tornado Red with GL velour trim in excellent condition for age
Has the legendary 1.6 TD bomb-proof engine - SB code (All mechanical fuel injectors and pump so no electronic fuel injection to deal with)
218k miles but runs smooth and pulls well.
Sitting on 4 (+spare) Aluline Cup deep dish 15s. They look great but could do with a refurb.
2 x Avon zv5s 205 50 R15s on the rear and 2 x Bridgestone Turanza 195 50s on the front all with loads of tread left
TA Technix red coilovers with G60 front top mounts. Coilover threads were greased and taped when fitted. Will go a lot lower
Front door handle conversion to keyless handles, with remote locking kit fitted - looks nice n neat
2 keys and 2 remote fobs
Heko wind deflectors
Front brake conversion to vented disks from a B3 GT
Sony CD/Radio with front Aux in.
Towbar with electrics
Rear Load cover
Service history stamps in the book up to 37k but then a gap, but it's been well looked after since I owned - has had oil and filter changed every c.3-4k miles with Fuchs fully synthetic and regular fuel filter changes.
Interior is in really great condition considering age. Carpets are average as they are the light grey ones
Keep Fit windows not electric - gotta get your cardio in where you can! :-bd
No sunroof - so no leaks
So, the other stuff:
- When I used it through last summer it developed a dislike for hot starting. Starts on the button when cold. I changed the glow plugs but it didn’t seem to sort the problem. Update 15th Oct. Engine's been stopped and started a few times today with me driving it and it being MOT'd and it's been ok.
- The welding on the sills is not pretty. It was done more for preservation than restoration and get through MOTs. There s bit more rust to sort out on the offside rear
- Rear nearside arch has some damage that was there when I bought the car. You can see it in the vid
- age related marks here and there as you would expect
Here’s a YouTube vid with the engine running and a walk around
Some spares and other bits I’ll throw in too:
- Starter motor
- Slam panel
- Spare set of injectors although I think they are from a Mk1 Caddy 1.6TD.
- New Oil filters/air filter for next service
- original steel wheels, so if you want to sell the Alulines you can sit it on those. N.B. the steels need to go with the car. If you buy it you take them - thanks
The car is located in Biggleswade (A1 in Bedfordshire). Obviously along with MOT, the Insurance and road tax has expired. Any questions just PM me or call 07988 440991. Chris
