I bought this from a guy on here who affectionately named it "the Battlebus" you can read the hilarious original listing here forum.retro-rides.org/thread/196852/toyota-battlebus-t190-250wow-malden?page=1 It is the best car i have ever owned in many ways. i only bought it too use on a tour of Snowdonia, the Lake District and the Highlands where it didn't miss a beat However... It has failed the MOT on a bunch of things, I have spent about £400 on it since then but lack the time and the skill and the enthusiasm fix it. Good Points You won’t find a more practical car for the price. Fast, smooth, cruiser with plenty of space. Cheap to insure NO RUST (apart from wing see photo) 3sfe engine is one of Toyotas finest in my opinion, runs perfect and might never stop. Brand new radiator with less than 50 miles use. Interior is surprisingly nice considering the outside appearance Starts Runs Drives Stops Has 2 brand new tyres comes with new parts still in boxes. Bad The paintwork is bad. There is a dent on the drivers wing thats down to the metal and has started to have some surface rust, (see photo) less than 50 for a brand new wing on ebay. For the MOT it needs Needs a new shock fitting, I have a brand new one and it will be supplied with the car. Needs a new exhaust fitting (downpipe and mid section) COMES WITH THE CAR Needs the boot catch looking at. It still works but there is a trick to it. maybe need some lube or a new spring? Needs some new Anti Roll bar bushes (Cheap) Needs 2 tyres. 2 brakes are binding, this was brought up in the MOT but I didn’t notice it when driving, I don’t know if they need fixing or replacing, either way I believe they are common parts shared with the celica. Much rather see it go to a Retro Rides person.

Looks like a good option to a Volvo. Love the original ad, particularly 'Baby in Boot' sticker!

I was actually searching for a volvo when i found this. I have to say it did its job. Also the wife made me remove that sticker, so i put her in the boot. (see Photo)

Glad you enjoyed it though, and did some camping too, something I wanted to do, but didn't. Because. Yuh.
GLWS. Hopefully someone who truly understands how incredible these things are will cherish it until it rises in value due to JDM(UKDM) Tax.

Btw on a srs, I think they galvanised everything on this car so that wing will never rot afaik. It's been like that for aeons and hasn't gotten any worse :3.
So, a new wing is NOT REQUIRED. EVER. AT ALL.

Once again speaking as two of the previous owners of this amazing bangeracecaremovalvan the wing doesn't need replacing, the calipers always bind a bit.
Its had a particularly harsh MOT by the sounds of things this will go forever!

"In engineering there is an answer to everything, It's just that we're usually too ignorant or too dim to see it." Keith Duckworth If you'd binned it into something that either didn't move, or survived intact (like I did, well, technically I landed on top of it, skillzorz...

I do think the MOT tester was harsh. Even failed it on the bootlid catch. I will also regret selling this car but the battlebus will outlive us all. Its just time for its next adventure.

Hey bro. Holy thread revival batmans.
The Battlebus came up on my FB feed and I remembered how much I miss it and how AMAZING it is. Do you know who you sold it to by any chance? It hasn't had an MOT since it failed so I'm assuming it's been scrapped, which would upset me most incredulously.
Pls let me know bro <3
