So, freezing winter should be over here in a month or so.
It means that, when the sunlight starts to show up from hibernation, same thing happens to car people.
One evening I found myself digging up used car online page and the story kinda goes from there. I ended up going to see the car very next day and made a deal.
It's kinda big, its really ugly, and in rough shape. Painted matt black, flames on hood and tailgate and some weirdo skull on side. And mold. And its stinks bad.
So it came the day to pick the car up. Just to drive it to the garage 40 km's. No problem, it'll be fine. Battery in, some zipties. Money and title changes hands. Off I go. Around 10 km's later, front brakes starts to stick alot. Rears wont brake much, so its kind of balanced right?
Halfway it starts to missfire and loss power. Great. But luckily, going max 50 km'h i made it to the garage. One and half hours later but still.
On the good side, it didn't overheat and the trans works fine. Oh and original radio works.
Transition from the 80's to 90's was a strange times. That and my medication might be a little off. Let me present you, a piece of junk.
A 1990 Dodge Caravan C/V LWB. Better known as Cargo Van. Powered by 3,3 Dodge V6 and 4 speed overdrive automatic. FWD version, and lifted fiberglass roof to accommodate old Finnish laws. Registered as a van, so it doesnt have tax.
Well, what it needs. Brakes. Cooling system. Major service. And some cool factor. Wheels? Lows? New paint perhaps? I'm not big fan of the matt black.
I've been secretly wanting one of these original minivans for ages. It has wrong engine, its too long and too high and what not. But atleast I have one for now.
Thanks for reading,
Viljami
