VW MK2 Golf, Diesel, Hatchback, White, 1600 cc diesel for sale £450 ono. Reg: J935 LDS. Left-hand drive imported from France. Ultra-reliable engine and overall fantastic car which has served us well for the past 20 years. Has been described by our mechanic of 10 years as a 'tank'. Bodywork in good condition given age of car. Sad to part with it, but it recently failed the MOT and would rather spend the repair cost on a newer model.

The main repair work required to pass MOT involves repairing/replacing front corroded sub-frame. Other faults are relatively minor: front indicator not working, corrosion of rear suspension component mounting and excessive play in front wheel bearing. There is also a leak in the passenger door due to movement of the interior seal, which can be easily repaired. Also the heater of dashboard fan is not working but fan itself works fine.
Full MOT history since import to UK in 2007. Also posted on Gumtree with photos (not possible to upload them here). This car would suit vintage model enthusiasts and could be used as a trusty 'daily' once repairs undertaken.
