Hello fellow RR's, Coventry Motofest used to run notes/news and requests for interest on here regularly when it first ran in 2014. Its presence on here has dwindled over the intervening years and so far this year I can find no specific thread re this the 5th birthday year.
I've been on their site: very, how shall we say, modern meedja-style picture-ful, but no really solid news at all re the classic cars. Just a one-liner at the bottom of "get involved" saying that we don't need to register, just turn up.
No details of where the classics will display nor times/how we get onto the display areas etc even though it is only just over a month away.
Does anyone know anything more solid or can point me to something I've missed on their site?

Thanks Hotwire....being a founding member of the motofest organising team i spent the first 3 years running the classic car side of things. Then took last year off . I'm not involved in the classic car stuff or had much involvement in social media/web stuff for the 2018 event(i'm working on other things including the warwick show and I've changed jobs to JLR recently) so haven't posted anything up to do with motofest of late. As per previous years, its still the same first come, first served "turn up and park". The details usually go up a few weeks before the event. So you need to be signed up to the mailing list to get updates. Mailing list sign up is at the bottom of the website pages - www.coventrymotofest.com/get-involved/Perhaps the OP could email Motofest directly? Contact details on the website. Matt

Thanks Matt, I was going to email them if I couldn't find info elsewhere but didn't want to be mailing in at their busy time if it was simply a case of having missed the info on their site.
Appreciate the effort you put in to make the early years work. I trust your JLR/Warwick workload won't prohibit you making Motofest, so if we make it there too with "Bagheera" the mighty Jaguar Sovereign (A12 SXJ) pop across and say hello. Will have the coffee and bickies with us.
The odd thing this year is the bit that they haven't asked for pre-registration as they did previously and certainly in those early years by now there would have been info out mentioning where the classics were to park.
I'll email them and if I get anything firm I'll post it back here.

Hello Folks, got an update people from James Noble at Coventry Motofest:
"Arrangements are the same as the early shows; unless you are displaying with a pre-booked club its simply turn up and show and yes you will be in or very near Broadgate (first come first served).
The website is currently being updated with this information and event guides should be ready from the end of next week."
So RR's things are progressing. We're working hard to make it (Deadlines? Deadlines are for wimps, we don't need no steenking deadlines!).
If we get there do come over and say hello, be nice to put faces to names.
Best wishes to all who hope to get there.
