For sale 1987 Saab 900 2.0i with manual transmission. Desirable 2 door hatch with sunroof.
Car is on 199,000 miles and will do another 200k miles, plenty of life left in it.
Straight, honest, solid running project that can be on road with little work. Will make a great reliable classic car once recommissioned.
Lost interest in this as we have another Saab 900 turbo project to get to work on.
Good bits:
- Head gasket has been replaced with decked block and head literally before it was taken off road, engine runs excellent. Has done less then 100 miles since. The motor is chain driven so no concerns to be had there.
- Drives and pulls great.
- Feels very well put together, no rattling noises.
- Solid car/chassis all around - no rust!
- All electronics are working.
- Interior in good condition. Minimal wear and sinkage on seats.
- Connected battery to battery pack over weekend, car fired up with no hassle.
- All steel factory wheel covers will be supplied.
Bad Points:
- No MOT or TAX
- Car has been standing for some time, will need service, new battery.
- Slips out of reverse gear occasionaly due to gear linkage.
- Front brakes need doing and caliper sills need putting back on which will be supplied.
Had a good walk around the car and found it very difficult to find any major dents or scratches.
Connected battery pack over weekend and the car fired up with no hassle. A good weekends work will have this car back on road.
Solid future investment.
