BNMAC at the Gathering

Serious question here....

at this point now, with no tickets or anything, what are the chances of me being able to get onto the BNAMC stand on Sunday?

I have no right to be there, but I'm hoping to leverage my past status as the founder and eternal emporer.

Does anybody know if this is possible or not?

I've never done Shelsey before.

Tickets are for sale on the gate. The stand pass would be sorted on arrival.
I'm pretty sure people will recognise you, then you could get your pass once on the stand? I think I've seen people do that in the past.

There are 3 spare passes. So the only issue would be getting it, which I’m sure could be sorted somehow...

Ahhh, I dunno. No worries though. It was just a thought. If you only have three left I sure as hell ain't driving the kind of car that should take one. I'd got the impression the BNMAC stand was looking a bit sparse this time around but maybe that was a few pages back now.

I'm really just trying to create a rationale for making myself go at this point.

Just get your ass here for the day - you are the creator emperator of BNMAC we’ll find a way to get you on the stand - johnthesparky - leave the stand pass with the ladies of the hut and I’ll email a paddock pass to quartermass - then he can get in the paddock and collect it

We only had 7 cars on the stand, we don’t have enough bonnet scoops currently to lure the ladies anyway.... Tom and me are desperately trying to fashion something from a bean tin and a teabag, but frankly we are struggling.... and it looks silly as the engine is clearly visible at the back

Obviously not very effective as the model still has 'some' clothes on.

Ummm.... wow I’m not a ‘scooper’ so this is all new to me, I thought scoops just lured ladies, but I now find out that their blouses fall off too!! Not sure if Lucy will let us finish the scoop now

I’m sure @quatermass can bring us up to speed on these things on Sunday. I’ll tell Lucy to stay away though until he’s cleared up the full extent of the potency

Always wondered how they made radio controlled cars

Well we worked on a scoop all night, with gaffer tape and a cereal box!
It got dark and we struggled a bit with the dimensions when we couldn’t see.....



We’re not sure If we’ve pulled it off the edges are a bit rounded (probably needed a scalpel!)

So, sorry @quatermass we’ve failed you, and now the baton is firmly in your hands..... BNMAC needs you, I’ve shone the scoop light into the sky, can you see it?

And therein lies the problem. @quatermass needs a reply that gives him at least half a dozen other things to worry about. Try adding any one/two/three of the following:

The venue has changed at the last minute - it's Orkney
The Orkney ferry only runs once a week
The ferry sank
Scimitars are extremely flammible
His neighbours have just arrived in their Mercedes
Hood scoops are banned on Orkney
It's illegal on the island to procreate via vehicle mounted appendages - punishable by 20 years fretting.

Then you've got an answer he can relate to.

And I think this is a little harsh, we should wait and see if the Grand Master turns up to the Gathering....
maybe use the threat of cyber pitchforks as additional motivation. And steer clear of cyber torches until we’ve established if Scimitars are flammable or inflammable

Whilst your appendage looks awesome as some kind of bowler hat for cars, it definitely fails as a hoodscoop and for that fact alone I am tremendously disappointed in you.
