I've spent the best part of 60min in traffic this evening looking at door handles. it's driving me nuts.
There was a jalopnik article about this, and the same question came up about what it was. no answer there that I saw.

There are a fair few photo's on the net. To be honest it did not help me much at all. It's not a S140 CROWN. The doors are wrong. But no Idea what it could be.
I think Japanese late 80's but what?? no idea

It's a T cut Demonstrator...... One Lady owner, never been raced or rallied. Barn stored for the last Ten years...Ideal Drift project, was running perfectly when parked up.....
Well, that's how it would be advertised on Flea bay....

All Senator's are 5 stud this is only 4 stud. I think it's Japanese

Doorhandles also wrong and it's got what looks like a boot spoiler. Not Senator then...
Could be a Nissan Primera from the 1990's, but can't be the bomb car as that ,I think, was fwd.

The bomb car is RWD, so that's Primera out of the question The door handle shape looks right on the south African car tho

The car is beige-coloured everywhere,so that's its colour, not a result from the blast. Maybe we should look at cars that were used by military ( organisations) back then?

This thread may be a prime example of missing the point of the exhibit (no offence meant) but whilst you were at the museum I presume you saw the VW based Leopard patrol vehicle? From Rhodesia (as was) now Zimbabwe. it's shaped that way to protect against landmines. I want one to upstage the scensters at a VW show.
