For my project I want to make a banjo steering wheel based on the of an existing 1979 Mustang steering wheel. This way it fit's the column I have and I get the diameter and dept I want.
I make is from 5mm laser cut SS sheet and SS spokes. Over that wood and leather. In the centre the original spline bushing of the Mustang wheel and over that to hide I have not worked out yet. I thing I use a small SS bowl and the original Citroën horn button.
There are enough pictures on the net for example. But I would like to know what the spoke diameter is on original steering wheels. I quess 5 mm ?
Who has such steering wheel and can measure it for me? The more input the better.
