So having dragged the HB out of storage I'm trying to make it a bit more user friendly so could do with some door mirrors, I have a real thing about not wanting to drill holes in the body work so the only option may be the clip on style or something with a small stem that could fix to the tiny triangle at the bottom corner of the quarter light which I don't mind drilling as its replaceable
Ideas would be greatfully received!

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

If you find the mirror let me know
I like the style of the arm on the VW mirror, not sure if the shape of the head is a bit "grandad" if you know what I mean!

I understand what you mean about not wanting to drill the doors. Every time I drive my Firenza, I find myself looking for a mirror when changing lanes, backing into the drive or just if I passed something interesting and want another look. But I can't quite bring myself to drill holes in the doors on the "new" paint finish - it's only been done 20 years.
I had some mirrors somewhere that bolt onto the rain channel on the A-pillar that would get around that. Not sure they'd look all that good though.

Hi, What about what they're fitting to trucks, now cameras instead of mirrors with a screen on the inside? Much more discreet.

I found it. I can post it to you if you want to try it, probably cost less than a tenner from Ireland?

If you don't want to drill into the door to fit mirrors you could cut short the door trim and fit a polished block of aluminium and mount a mirror to it. I had the same problem with my p5b and came up with the idea and all worked well, good vision and the window still opened.

^^^ Looks good, that's the type of thing I was thinking of but fitted in the little triangle at the base of the quarter light, I wont be cutting the trim back as it the rare GT spec I got this selection but don't think anything will work But I quite like this black one, the base is small enough to fit on the triangle and being matt black shouldn't stand out as much as chrome

Isn't that black one a Chevette mirror?
