It's been a good few years since I started my project, and yes a couple of years away from it.
I fitted a V6 in the space where a inline four once sat. There were no options at the time to keep the option of Air Conditioning.
Why? Because there was no space to power a belt driven one.
Time has passed and vehicles have changed and so have those which can now get parts from. I know that some companies in the US use inverters to power certain types of electric powered A/C compressors.
I also know that an Ozzy firm has developed a full 12V DC A/C compressor. But they are new to the market and cost the best part of £700 plus tax & shipping!
Considering that one option which I have come across is that of the Nissan Leaf.
But the question rally is has anybody done something similar and with what results or problems did you come across while doing. And What compressor did you use?
