Looking for a wheel refurb company

Hi All,

My garage that does most of my work on my cars has curbed the 2 nearside wheels on my Merc. when test driving after replacing wheel bearings. The mechanic who did it was mortified and they have tried to sort it but the guy who they got to refurb them painted the polished lips on these two wheels!!

Now I have two fresh looking wheels with very clean but painted lips and two slightly used wheels with polished lips. Pain in the ar$e.

So the question is, does anyone have any recommendations of companies, either mobile or who I can post to that will be able to fix the lips and polish back to a good standard. (They'll have to strip the paint off the rim and whatever he's filled the lip with)

I don't want to get all 4 wheels painted as the whole point of me buying these wheels was to have the deep dish polished lips.

I was happy with the service I got from Top Marques in Stoke topmarquesuk.co.uk/ - pretty sure they do a mail order service if you're not South Cheshire (hence within travelling distance)?

Ace wheels in Huntingdon are pretty good a lot of Cambridgeshire based dealers use them for diamond cut finish

You're 70 miles from us so probably not wanting to travel that far... the mobile refurb guy will have just sanded the damage out before paint. If they're polished rather than diamond cut, all the existing lacquer will have to come off and the whole polished rim will need polishing again as you'll be left with the edge of the old lacquer either side of the repair, which is why they'll have blown them in with silver paint. It's not gonna be a cheap easy job unfortunately.
It's nothing you cant do yourself though, sand out the damage, and sand off the lacquer from the polished lip, all the way down to about p1500, or 2000 and then polish up with some buffing compound
