We're thinking of getting an 8 seater and obviously the best bang for buck as they say would by a Japanese import.
I did have a Nissan largo a few years ago and it was brilliant at everything except the insurance, if I recall correctly it was north of £2k a year because it's an import.
Is this still an issue or is it a bit more reasonable now?

I'm guessing it's the same as ever, I've had imports for over 15yrs my last one for over 11yrs which was modified,
I can't remember exactly but in all that time I think the price was roughly the same fluctuating roughly £100. Example £30 cheaper one year then rising £90 the year after, & So on year in year out.
Some (specialist) insurers wouldn't touch me due to postcode Manchester M11 M12
Clean licence, full NCB 49yrs old, limited mileage of 3-4000 Agreed value,
I've now bought a (normal) car but wouldn't like to get a quote for the the (around here anyway) drug dealers, scallys favourite mode of transport Audi A3, golf, seat,a class Merc .
I still love the J imports I've been looking at the Toyota Alphard, vellfires, in both petrol & hybrid guise for ages, along with Toyota hiace super gl, (iron man) & Nissan E52 elgrand, almost forgot d5 delica
There's a few importer's I follow on YouTube who have an array of 6,7,8 seaters the temptation will always be there as I can't fault most J imports

Hi, It might also be the increased risk of more people being injured and claiming.
