Throttle body cleaning

Hi, I've ordered some throttle body cleaner but in case that doesn't arrive before everything closes down, is there anything else I can clean it with?

The throttle body is off a diesel and is quite black and sooty.

I have petrol, white spirit, brake cleaner, degreaser. Any of that work?

Scrape the bits bits off with a wooden stick (I’d say a coffee stirrer but McD’s is shut now for a while) or blunt screwdriver then pretty much any solvent will do the job - petrol, thinners, etc. Brake cleaner evaporates a bit too quick. Handy for the last wash.

I used carb cleaner on mine.
