Primarily, I'm after someone I can pay to reliably rebuild and service the Bosch VE injector pump on my '87 Citroen BX. Basically, found an air leak that seemed to be the o-ring on the throttle spindle and after replacing it, on reassembly I misaligned some parts and managed to break them. First time I've ever ventured into repair work on an injector pump and likely the last, I haven't the confidence I'll get it right on a second attempt so would rather someone with experience sort it out. Problem is, I have no idea who to go to for this, nor what sort of price to expect to pay.
This is the bit that's broken, for reference, and the pump would likely benefit from a full overhaul anyway at this point.
I'm in Kent, so something local to that would be beneficial. If I have to post the original pump out to someone elsewhere in the country I can do that too.

Up near me is Skim Milk Supplies Ltd, just outside Buckingham.
Think they started auto repairs as an add on to the obvious side of the business, but they do auto work and have sorted an injector pump for me, when dealer was being idiot, they are reputed locally for that sort of stuff.

But appreciate it’s miles away!

I've heard good things about Swadlincote Diesel. It's the place I intended to take my VE pump after I over-confidently bought a rebuild kit thinking "how hard can it be?" and then got cold feet.

I do believe you did right not attempting a DIY.

I do believe you did right not attempting a DIY. Well fair play to you for giving it a go. I'm happy to give most jobs a bash and regularly get out of my depth with things, but yeah the pump just looked like a whole lot of trouble, with added jeopardy that it was on my daily! Just realised you said you're in Kent, so South Derbyshire might be a bit of a trek. Still, hope you get it sorted out.

Got lucky today when I found what looks to be a matching pump to mine that's unopened so should, hopefully, have the bits I need inside. Once that arrives and I can check it has the spares I need I can then start saving and getting quotes for the rebuild. Just as well I like this car.

What stops you from fitting the new pump instead of having the original one rebuilt?

Better the devil you know.
The original pump did work, it just has an air leak, presumably from the throttle shaft o-ring. The replacement pump I have no history with, I don't know if it was removed from a car because of an air leak, or because it was kept as a spare and is fine. Rather than take the gamble I'd rather use the two pumps to make one nice rebuilt and repaired one that's as good as new that I can simply refit and go.
A brand new pump was prohibitively expensive in comparison to going this route too, so that's why I didn't do that either.

I'll give them a call. The website I could find for them online is a whole bunch of broken links dated 2013, so either they haven't maintained their online presence and are still trading, or they stopped trading a few years ago.

They did my Land-Rover pump this time last year, and my Austin one a couple of years before that. I don’t think they need to chase work enough to justify the effort in maintaining a website. Another one to try is Injection Developments near Canterbury, and one to avoid is the place in Ashford.
