Anybody got any experience of these cheap kits. I've got to install a stainless bolt kit on one of SWMBO's Defenders and the originals will be rusted to beggary  |

Have been curious on the cheaper kits - surrendered my old oxy/acetylene set up due to the hassle with bottles etc and I was only using it to heat stuff rather than the cutting I used to do.
Will admit to being sceptical about how effective the budget kit would be so would be curious about the experience of others(and what power 1000w/2000w etc they used).

I've got one - claims to be Sykes Pickovant but I have my doubts. First one blew up when I kept the button down too long. Never managed to make anything glow red hot, but got smoke from one or two as things warmed up. Seems to work reaosnably well
