Awesome! Me and the wife keep talking about getting an FJ. Between my modified Golf R and her Subaru STi we don't really have a car that we can haul curse word around in, drive somewhere quietly or comfortably or go off the beaten track when getting to hikes - There have been several times where we've driven 2 hours + only to find we can't get to the required car park, meaning we're adding distance to our hikes. I wish the Rona would do one so I know my job is safe, I'd take the plunge right away!

Congrats on getting one, I’m jealous! Can you tell me if the rear is a bit claustrophobic, with the limited windows? I would have one but the potential for moaning kids is putting me off. Also, I hate the term but how is the “real world” mpg? There is less visibility for rear passengers than a “Normal” car due to the size of the rear pillar and the rear windows don’t open ( There are US supplied Perspex pop out conversions) however I certainly wouldn’t go as far as to describe it as claustrophobic. My theory was that for me 80-90% of the car journeys was with just me, there’s plenty of space for me!! my 4 year old is more than happy in the rear with plenty of space however although this is a big truck I think it’s quite deceiving especially coming from an S-Max with huge space and cubby holes for everything, that would be one of my criticisms that it’s like a reverse TARDIS! As for mpg.......I knew what I was in for however after a decent motorway journey and multiple relatively short journeys to and from work I have averaged 22 mpg. Could be much worse I reckon. You only live once, I’ve had a Classic Range Rover & TD6 and by far this feels more solid and on par with comfort. Not as many toys or as modern inside as its Japanese plastics but as such there is less to go wrong....bonus!
