This is phenomenal, been following the build thread, but nice to see it in a condensed version Thank you. The car is pretty much done. And is for the most part, a blast to drive. But as anyone who has been down this car building road well knows, there is a no-fun development stage that has to happen if the project is to meet expectations. I am there. Reading the list below would make you think I am really bad at this car building stuff. The AOD gearbox was DOA, so the gearbox was swapped out for a 5 speed ( took 3 tries). Re-did the exhaust system because too loud The rear diff ratio was changed from 3.73 to a 3.31 for more comfortable cruising. The Fitech Fuel Injection was tossed in the skip in favor or a Holley 4 barrel. I am sure Fitech is a great product, but did not work for me. 9 mpg is not acceptable. I am agonizing over what to do about steering effort: not terrible at low speeds and fine on the move, but enough to annoy the Missus. I can try a manual rack with a higher ratio or go straight to power steering. Or I can live with it. AC still needs hoses made and system charged/wired Couple of insufferable rattles to get rid of that I am ignoring. (Volvo door panels suck to remove) With nowhere to go as far as shows, the last year has not been the best for the car hobby , hence the motivation to get on with spending more time and $$$ is lacking.
