Placeholder So I can answer questions related to the Track activity on Sunday - Please ask questions below and I'll answer them in the thread and also edit this post to provide all Q&A in the first post so no-one has to trawl thro a thread looking to see if a question has been asked or answered. Last time - Oh man it was so long ago the Autosolo was really popular but not enough people knew about it and this resulted in incredible value for those that had booked it - I think several participants only stopped because they were going to run out of fuel Have a little video (thank you dongoloso) of a Honda getting down with the beat Can't credit for this one but it demonstrates the variety that is RR Or this one Of course there are always people dfms911 who take it really seriously If you watch those videos and don't think that looks huge fun and I want to have a go I want to know why Hopefully this year we well get more people on track trying this - it's fantastic fun and great value Just wondered what the noise limits are, it’s noisy but road legal and I don’t think too offensive, but maybe I ought to check? Sunday is a "Quiet Day" 94 db - basically road car std We won't be noise testing automatically but Goodwood reserve the right to spot test if a car is sending the readings over expected Are helmets required for the autosolo? I don’t mind spending £20 on a session but buying a helmet that is unlikely to get used again, well maybe until the next weekender, is a bit prohibitive. Thanks They are required for Driver and Passenger - they will be available to hire (A deposit at hire will be required and will be returned when it's handed back less a small charge for cleaning/sanitsation)

Can confirm this was mega fun last time. I couldnt beleive it was so quiet, with it being fairly cheap too.
Need less people parking and posing and more people abusing their cars on this, this year.

I do agree - it's huge fun, it's in a safe environment and it's a great opportunity to try something new I had several people in 2019 who thought the cost was just for one go - RR track activities have always been about getting good value and having fun and are nothing like the cost you would pay to do the same event/track time at Goodwood/Shelsley with a motorclub

This is a must for anyone at the event that wants to put their pride and joy through its paces in a safe , controlled environment. Epic fun even for those of us that take it far too seriously Hope to be able to do it again this year

Do you think yours will be ready? Depending on allowance, I may try to get my 'A reg' M3 on or for the track action. It will need to run first however.

Part of mine is looking forward to sleeping in an estate car mind you, but it's also not what the weekend is about to be fair.

Not you - chas I can’t remember if I sent you a video elsewhere of the car, where the cats only were on. But it’s a lot quieter with the entire exhaust on. With the Eisenmann Race backbox it’s managed Donnington in the past. Most midsections basically replicate the factory section and are oddly heavier bar the X Pipes; this is still stock on mine for this reason. However, I do still have the stock Backbox which should be fine. What are the limits on the track for the Saturday and Sunday? Since I’ve not got a backbox on it, I have to choice to make it quieter with more info . Or just make it quieter from the off. I’m doing some Googling in the meantime to see how loud the Eisinemann is. Around 92dB @ 5000rpm seems to be the static loudness. Obviously I need to find a drive by number

If my car doesn’t pass sound test for the Sunday, is it possible to transfer my slot to someone else? Not expecting to sell/get my money back, would just like someone else to have the opportunity rather than go to waste.
