Roll up you Vauxhall apologists with not quite enough abject poverty and misery in your lives!
This is grim, but retro grim like asbestos roofing or turkey twizzlers, but here are the good points:
MOT until the end of January 2022
101,000 mile
This is surprisingly perky to drive, not too slow, easy clutch and power steering. No obvious knocks, bangs, clunks or other untoward noises and even the auto choke functions as it should.
Tyres are pretty decent.
Comes with some spares and a folder full of history from its previous owners.
It hardly shows up in photos but the interior is very very blue and still has original GM rubber mats.
Decent amount of work been carried out quite recently including oil, filter, coil, HT leads and a cam belt change.
It has a tow bar, perfect for towing a 4 berth caravan through the Peak District
A nice selection of giffer stickers in the windscreen.
Nice simple 1.4 8v OHC engine
It's a functional motor car.
The less excellent points:
It's a Vauxhall
There is a patch of welding needed at some point on the underside of the drivers side sill, it's in the MOT history as an advisory but I'm not sure how it wasn't quite a fail. It's not a difficult patch and I'll get it done if I have a spare hour somewhere.
I haven't cleaned it yet. Maybe later if you're good.
It's a Vauxhall
The previous owner cut the rear shelf for some 6x9s. He also changed the door speakers but didn't cut the door cards about.
There a Kenwood radio in the dash with aux and a CD player. It doesn't seem to get FM reception.
Around the petrol cap and the rear arch is a bit crusty.
It's still a Vauxhall
Anyway, who can resist this heap of industrious hardship for only £600, located in Tiverton, Devon, near junction 27 of the M5 and Tiverton Parkway station. Buses are also available to get here but are worse than driving this car.
Get at me with your cash monies.
