Details of the car:
Prior to this year the car has been carefully stored/ garaged for 10 years with minimal use, hence the low mileage for the year and the condition of the car.
The car has been recommissioned and had a huge amount of time and money spent before being put back into service. Details of all work carried out included below.
ENGINE:
2.0 Straight 6 Petrol 24V
The car has had a major service including:
- New Mobil Oil
- Genuine BMW Oil Filter
- New Air filter
- 6x NGK Platinum Spark Plugs
- New Fuel Filter
The car also benefits from:
- New Radiator
- New BMW Thermostat
- New BMW Vanos Coupling
- New Air Conditioning Condenser
The engine idles and performs perfectly, very smooth and surprisingly economical, recently visited the Yorkshire classic car show and British Classic Car show at Syon Hall, London and performed perfectly.
GEARBOX:
The Gearbox has had a fuel service and replacement transmission fluid using the correct Genuine BMW Parts and fluids at a renowned gearbox specialist.
The gears works perfectly in every gear, shift seamlessly and all functions including 'Economy', 'Sport' and 'Winter' switchable modes work exactly as they should.
EXTERIOR:
Finished in dark grey the exterior of the car is rust free and the paintwork in excellent overall condition. The odd stone chip on the nose but certainly nothing that detracts from the overall condition and presentation.
All the common rust points are corrosion free, including all the wheel arch areas, bottoms of the doors, bootlid etc. The sill covers have been removed and the internal sill areas checked for rust and there is none.
We have had the underside and internal panels of the car full wax protected by a local specialist and the underbody of the car is rust free and protected.
There is a small crack in the drivers side headlight, the headlight works perfectly and doesn't appear to be letting water in but a replacement second hand genuine headlight is included with the sale.
The car has genuine factory fit 'shadow line' black exterior trim rather than chrome often fitted.
All new Front suspension using genuine OEM parts, upper and lower control arms, track rod ends etc have been fitted so the car rides and handles perfectly.
WHEELS:
The Genuine BBS Cross Spoke alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished in their original BMW factory silver and fitted with brand new Falken tyres all round.
Behind the wheels the car has had uprated BREMBO vented front brake discs fitted and new pads.
INTERIOR:
The interior of the car is in exceptional condition. The grey velour cloth interior is in excellent order and is very comfortable. Inside the car has the rare options of factory fit air conditioning, this has had a new condenser fitted and been fully serviced so blows ice cold. It also has the rare factory option of both Driver and Passenger front airbags fitted. The interior specification includes:
