Mercedes 300e w124 saloon £650 chestefield
No MOT but would be wanting more if I did the welding and whatever it wanted
I've had this in the family for 11 years now and we're basically thinking we can't really invest the time and effort to get this up to a decent standard and also my parents only used it for daft local trips!
So 1990 300e , bronze metallic which is been sprayed old man style by my dad over the years, not too bad but leaves alot to be desired.
Eha valve has been replaced so it now runs nice a smoothly.
270k miles, valve guides are shot so it does smoke a tad. Oil pressure still decent though and no mechanical noises were noted, stil felt decently brisk.
Subframe mounts still attached but want some welding work.
Interior has had some old duffer repair jobs but is functional!
Generally speaking could easily be a decently usable w124 with abit of time invested to fix the innumerable issues!

Front springs and wishbones
Radiator
Mechanically feels tight still
Abs functions!
Overall has been a car that has been just used as a general hack locally with the odd trip further afield but really it's just become redundant as they now have a tiny daihatsu which is actually alot of fun for a dinky car and more practical really.
