Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but suddenly the adverts that used to appear at the bottom of my screen (Moto e phone) have moved to the top, between the home/ profile bit and the topics, and it's REALLY ANNOYING!!! I'm a technophobe, so it could be something I've done, but I don't know what Any suggestions? (Other than go away and Shut up)

I'm a technophobe, so it could be something I've done, but I don't know what Any suggestions? (Other than go away and Shut up) I ran an experiment briefly last night to see if I could get a small banner at the top of the mobile version of the site. It put a BIG banner there so I went and turned it off, then went to bed. Apparently I didn't save my changes so it was still there this morning. I went in and did it again about 5 hours ago, being sure to save changes, and it still hasn't gone. So I've got in AGAIN and double checked everything and clicked Save again. I agree it is very annoying and was NOT what I intended at all. Sorry everyone.

I think you’ve fixed it Mr Hotwire, as I noticed it earlier but it’s now gone (for me at any rate) great work as ever sir 👍🏼

I continue to be sorry.
I also continue to have this annoying ad on the mobile version.
Google continues to be set to not have this ad displaying.

I’m still stuck with massive screen filling ads here. Seems to be random as to how long it’s staying for.
EDIT: cleared my phones cache and they are gone. I suggest anyone suffering with the issue to try deleting the sites cookies and browsing data to see if that resets them per-user.

Mine is still with me, good to know it eventually goes. I had a phone update to install and when I came back here after, it was gone. Filed the "auto ads" as a button to never press again haha

On a maybe slightly related note, does anyone else have the situation where whenever they access a thread with videos in, the videos start playing from the top without asking?
I’ve tried turning auto play off on YouTube but whenever I come back here it seems to get turned on again…..?
Probably I’m not clever enough to own a smart phone…

That's a funny one! Perhaps deleting the cache and cookies might fix it (not that I know how to do that from memory, even on my phone!).
You end up losing stuff like websites auto-filling for you if you've been there before and that sort of thing, but it might un-select an option that's been accidentally selected. You might be able to selectively delete stuff for Chrome and Youtube that could minimise issues.
