Hi!
I have an LTI TX2 (ex-London taxi) which I am currently prepping for a European adventure in the summer. One of the (many) things currently wrong is the rear electric windows.
Sometimes they work okay for a day, other times the fuse will blow when the window is half way down, some times it will pop after the fuse (30A) is replaced and all I've done is turn the engine on. It doesn't matter which side or which switches are used (there's no common denominator).
I have a multimeter but no real clue what I am doing... how do I start logically ruling things out/in of this annoying issue? Is there a common earth for the rear windows? Both rear windows are on the same fuse (as per design)
When they do work, the windows slide up and down as well as you would expect on a 2005 car with 354,000 miles on the clock. The front ones work perfectly fine.
Help please
