?? but why? I have a pug 207 GT, on stock springs. as it sits the front is just right for me but the rear is high, I would just like to even it out by bringing the rear down by about 25mm nobody sells rear only lowered springs, and I cant afford to have a set modified I cant cut the originals down, as they are pig tailed [err, thats my description, they have narrow top and bottom] I have friends in oval racing who would probably suggest heating them to lower, not sure about this I think it might make them softer. So what can I do? then I think back to around 1991 and a talbot horizon I had, I used Grayston Spring Clamps on the rear..... and they worked a treat! I was astounded to see they still sell them... are they worth a go in this day and age?

My usual route is to look at similar size cars and see if they'll have something that will work - you need something that's similar weight and check the leverage effect on the spring (the difference between the distance from pivot point - spring then spring - wheel hub centre basically).
If you get some measurements of a stock spring for length I'll see if I've got owt in my book that tallies up.

Even Euro Car parts sell lowering springs for a 207 so, err, yea. Buy lowering springs for a 207. They are cheap enough to buy a set and just use the rears. Those spring clamps are horrible and just look like a cause of early spring failure.

don't want a full set of lowered springs, least I can get is a 30mm drop and then I think the car will go the other way and be too low at the back

Then really you will have to fit springs off something else or have them custom made. Unless you want to fit those whack spring clamps. Which I wouldn't personally. Wonder if Corsa springs would work. I can't recall how small the ends are on 207 springs.

I am not able at this time to measure the ones that are on the car.

If my info here is correct:
Length: 335mm Outer diameter: 123mm Coil diameter: 10.5mm
Looks like the GTi might have different springs. Might be worth trying a pair of those?
