Stereo was invented in the 1930's ... way before his truck was built Google Alan Blumlein "pendant's hat on" all speakers are mono, you need a pair for stereo "pendant's hat off" "Pedant" And I thought he meant one of these:

Unless you have a central driving position every in-car stereo audio setup is a compromise of some kind. (IMO) Paul Y That's pretty much the way I would have chosen, (although my tweeter position would possibly be slightly different) should work OK braaap It wasn't intended as a "lesson" just a light hearted comment Based on my own experience your timescale is a bit out, I had a stereo record player around 1968 and a stereo cassette player (no radio) in my mini in the very early 70's. I still use a pair of Wharfdale Linton's that I bought new in the mid seventies in my hifi setup mk2cossie I can't deny it

braaap It wasn't intended as a "lesson" just a light hearted comment My answer wasn' meant as a criticism. It was more meant like a everyday is a school day lesson. Maybe You were something like an early bird when it comes to stereophony? I don't' know the general household situation, but cars were equipped with a single speaker place on top of the dash till far into the 80s, more was rather a question of aftermarket or DIY stuff.
