Replica VIN plates?

Hello,
Looking for someone or somewhere recommended to make a replica VIN plate for one of my cars. It's a long story but it is missing, but I do have the correct keys and I own the car, and I also have a v5c in my name with the correct vin and number plates.
Ideally it would be nice to have one as close as possible to the original (mk1 espace) but I suppose it doesn't really matter. Can anyone help?

Have you contacted your local Renault dealer? If you have all the things you require as proof of ownership then they should be able to supply I’d expect.

Just gave them a go, apparently they are expensive according to the parts department, and there are forms to be filled in, and they have to be fitted there at the dealership which most definitely isn't going to work given the state of the car at the moment!

What's the VIN plate like, is it printed, or does it just have numbers stamped on it? If it's printed, it shouldn't be difficult to get someone to print onto a suitable plate, and then have the stamping done afterwards. The main problem will be getting the stamping to look authentic, as manufacturers tend not to use the same style of stamp that is easy to buy. Mine (Vauxhall) are stamped "upwards", for example, so would require back-to-front characters on the dies.

There was a guy in (i think) France doing them, loads of different styles and could do the reverse stamping.

He had a dedicated website but can’t remember what it was.

Give www.vintagsuk.com/ a shout, they do lots more than what shows on their site and can stamp or emboss them
