Hi all, I've been on Retro Rides for a while but this is my first post. I have just purchased this Micra Engined Ligier Ambra as a project. The car originally left the factory with a 505cc twin cylinder diesel but was swapped in 2008/2009 with a 1.0 16v Micra engine. I've been looking for some information on these cars and this car in particular if anyone has anything they would be able to share? The MoT expired in 2011 and it seems to have had a few owners since then. I know it's highly unlikely but I'd love to find whoever did the engine swap. I can't seem to find much information on the cars in general so would appreciate any experiences that people have had with them! Thanks all

I can't offer you any of the desired information. However, I'm very interested to see where you go with this.
I can imagine it moves along nicely now with that "monster" micra motor.

Seeing more than a hint of Metro/R100 inspiration on both of those.

With a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), you'd hope it's not for Rapid Response!

Seeing more than a hint of Metro/R100 inspiration on both of those. Looking at it I'm sure those are Rover 100 lights. Love to see more pics/info on this. We used the drivetrain from similar in a road legal buggy, 2 cylinder Kubota diesel and open-belt CVT. Must be a flyer with a micra motor!
