Wondering if we have an RR contingent at the Practical Classics Restoration Show? I'm heading upon the Friday!

We, SIMCA Club UK, will have a stand there in Hall 5 (5-585), alongside the MATRA Club, most of their cars are based on parts from the SIMCA/Talbot range. I'll have my Rallye 2 on the stand and there'll be different models that came from the SIMCA 1100, Their first front wheel drive car. I'll be on the stand much of the time, see you there Mick Ward

I went up there today. Really enjoyed it. I didn’t think to look for you on the SIMCA stand, but I did have a brief nose around.

Also bumped into a Grumpy previous resident of this parish on the Jowett stand and said hello.

glenanderson... was there on the stand most of the time over the three days but did have chance to have a look round and look for a few parts I need for projects. Photos are of our stand on the Thursday during build up. On there was my SIMCA Rallye 2 and a mint base model SIMCA 1000. Also the 'first hot hatchback', the '70 to'71 SIMCA 1204 Special plus a Talbot 1100 pickup like mine but one that's had a much easier life and finally what MATRA built on the pickup... their Rancho.. an early SUV, as per current thinking but back in the late '70s.

I went along to this as well, an enjoyable day. As usual I spent most of my time in the autojumble area.

NEC wheel of fortune selection process landed on our club too. the guidelines for the show were to have a barn find, a daily driver plus a pristine restored car and that's exactly what we did.

We had a mothballed astra estate (the silver one). my estate daily driver (black one) which I'd not washed since September and decided to present it just like that, vehicular cosplay, then a high quality resto - special edition astra gte "leather edition" one of 250 made,
