Had this a few times - On a sony head unit it has something called a Caution alarm - You had to Switch CALM ON or CALM OFF - I like the idea of just being able to jut switch on and off being calm as you feel like it - but then isn't that what crazy people say!? Now, on my kenwood - Some godawful waay too damn catchy song from the 90's which I now cannot bear appears as an earworm every time I see this. It isn't fun coming up to a Junction which has the word I refuse to mention on it! There must be some others

My dads Berlingo Mk1 radio used to turn itself down if you raN it at high volume too long as self protection and it you then attempted to turn it back up again too soon after it did it it would display the message ‘TOO HOT’ on the LCD. Fiat radios when the loud audio compensation setting and FM auto frequency are turned on is amusing, displaying ‘LOUD AF’ in little letters. Also years back now came across a fantastic menu message on a late Vectra with colour screen infotainment which was the result of terrible translation which said ‘Traffic announcements do not comming up’ (typo included) when turning off TA. Certain Astra J models have a ‘secret’ button on the radio that isn’t screen printed/logo’d so looks like a blank which prompts the message ‘not available’ when pressed.

hahahah that made me laugh - just the thought of sitting in a plain old run of the mill berlingo, contemplating your life choices whilst stuck in midsummer 30degree heat traffic jam on the surrey section of the m25 -You glance at the centre console to read LOUD AS &£$% on an LCD display.
I really haven't had enough sleep today!

Ha, only 30 degrees? No weird messages from me but the stereo in my wife's '03 Ipsum has a weird disconnect between the volume knob and the actual volume of the speakers. Turning the knob may or may not result in the desired change in volume. It might even go the wrong way. Quite frustrating sometimes.
