Welcome to the advert for my 1996 (P) Honda Stepwgn (RF1 body/model) Japanese import.
Engine runs perfectly, pulls well and stays at the correct temperature. Recent work from a Honda specialist (Automatrix) consisting of a full service, downpipe, engine mounts and thermostat/coolant. Automatic four speed gearbox was recently replaced and rebuilt.
Bodywork and paintwork condition is average for a 90s Japanese vehicle. No major rust or dents but there are a few small spots of corrosion, scratches and parking marks. It was confirmed all solid underneath and has been undersealed to protect it. There is a retractable awning installed on the passenger side above the sliding door.
Interior is very comfortable and is in very good condition. All interior electrics are working as they should, bar the rear sunroof which I think is stuck due to its lack of use having the roof box on for so long. Steering is extremely light for the size of the vehicle and steers straight. Dashboard is is an upgrade taken from a Honda S-MX. The original headunit has been replaced for a JVC double din unit with CD/MP3/USB. Included is a reverse camera but this is not connected.
In the rear the original seats have been removed and replaced with a custom metal framed bed with PVC covered thick foam which is very comfortable. The bed is easily removable and can be removed is sections so a single sized bed can be kept if additional space is needed. Also in the rear is a battery which I think is connected to a split charging system but this will need investigation properly.
The wheels are the standard alloys, in good condition and roll straight and true. The tyres are all good and have a decent amount of tread.
A fantastic vehicle for camping in. I’ve used it a number of times for visiting family in Europe but I’m just not using it to its full potential. It has the bonus of being insured with classic insurance with it being over 20 years old.
Please message me for any enquiries/viewings or additional photos.
Apologies if the photos are mixed up, the RR uploader seems to be quite random at times. They are in the next post.
