I mean it looks awful...
But, that engine is a belter and weirdly it's got a good registration, so worth £2k all day long - as long you plan to completely rebuild it!!

Most of the chassis appears to be missing, so you'd have to rememdy that to keep it as a Spitfire

@lowstandards it’s all ready been checked now mot exempt this will one of the ones never to see an mot test again i bet ,rightly or wrongly as it does have some questionable engineering i like the concept
@mylittlepony exactly, defo needs going through doesn’t it that propshaft looks lethal and i’m sure the engine could go lower surely?
I actually looked at these engines last week as an idea for the herald in the future ,
if you broke it up engine is worth £3k , the chassis could sell easily as already registered etc etc , not bundles of profit

Usually I quite like unusual things but in that case I have to make an exception, it looks like a waste of a good Spitfire and Morris minor pickup and ironically if the builder had left both alone they would be way more valuable than what they have ended up as.
This could be the poster child for the expresion just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I've often thought those triumph rocket 3 engines could be decent for a light car as they're a hefty lump
Could be a base to build something cool in there, needs a lot of imagination currently though..
