I found these photos whilst tidying up at my parents house and wonder if anyone here can identify them. The location is now the site of the Science an industry museum in Manchester and I'm guessing they were taken sometime in the 70s. I can make out a Rolls Royce Corniche coupe in the background so that puts it at least at 1971 (thanks google!) I think I can make out a DeDion Buton badge on one of the cars but beyond that I haven't a clue about that era of cars, pre first world war. I'm going to stick my neck out and say this is a Rover P6 tow car in the corner of the photo, most likely in that lovely smoker's phlegm colour that so many of them came in. So over to to the vintage/veteran experts then?

Cheers. I presume the 1934 was the date it was first registered in Britain rather than the actual manufactured age. In fact I've just noticed "1901" on the the plaque so maybe that's the real age? Is VCC Veteran Car Club?
Also the Renault has "1909" but their early 20s cars look quite similar so who knows.
Either way I'm amazed that they're on still on the DVLA's computer, or maybe I shouldn't be after all they survived 70+ years including a couple of world wars so they were all historical vehicles at the time these pics were taken.

They could be different ones, but I'm sure they had those at the car museum that is (was? Might be closed down now) in Dewsbury.

That's great that you've managed to find recent photos of the same cars. Presumably not the same owners as 50ish years ago though.

Wikipedia tells me that closed in 2010! Time flies. I also think there was a good car collection at Saltaire which has since closed.
