When I bought my Ford ltd I noticed on the v5 that the date of first registration & the date of UK registration is the same. The date being 28/9/1990. My car was built in 1985 infact they only made it for 3 years until 1986. However the car has a B registration plate. So I'm confused if I'm reading it wrong or they've made a mistake? I'm trying to confirm as I'm hoping next year it will be tax & mot exempt.

Looks like it might be a mistake on their part .
Not sure how to remedy it , possibly needs a dating letter from Ford/or approved owners club .
I’d crop the above pic to remove your chassis number .

Done thanks. I dp have the build sheet & import paperwork showing it as registered 1985 so might need to contact them. Does the dvla have a chat bot option?

The last time i had dealings with them , it was over the phone & all paperwork submitted had to be original’s .
Might have moved on since then , but it is a government department , so wouldn’t hold my breath !
