Hello all,
Looking to find a new home for my much-loved 2000 W210 E200 Elegance. I'd rather not, but times dictate something has to go, and there is no way I am parting with my Mk1 Mondeo. But I digress.
Anyway, the car. A hair under 94k, four owners on paper, but only three really, as I have owned it twice. Elegance spec, so full leather, electric seats and windows and so on, interior is lovely, everything works as it should with the exception of the air-con (needs a re-gas) and the reverse light switch within the shifter is haunted so it sometimes displays an error, sometimes they work. Meh.
GOOD THINGS:
94ish thousand miles
Blaupunkt Madrid BT200 head unit
Lowered suspension (springs, not choppy chop)
Staggered 3SDM 0.66 alloys
Avantgarde rear lights
Polished front lights
Fully serviced recently
New crank sensor
New serpentine belt
Internal fan replaced, along with fan resistor
NOT SO GOOD THINGS:
It's 25 years old. It is solid as a rock (pics to prove) but it's no minter. It has dings and scuffs.
OSF front wing has been 'kissed' but it comes with a new, painted one.
Aforementioned haunted reverse light switch
Two wheels (nearside) would benefit from some love. They were mint, but, well, let's just say I had to avoid something. But no a curb, evidently.
THE MOT IS SHORT, END OF MAY, BUT FOR £1,800 I'LL PUT A FRESH ONE ON, IT'S BOOKED IN ON THE 30TH.
If you want a cool daily cruiser, this is it. Ignore the 'hur dur it's only a 2.0' haters. It's reliable, smooth, and with the cruise on, it'll give you 45mpg on the motorway. It's a lovely old bus and I'll be sad to see it go.
Car is located in Portishead, Bristol.
No swaps, ta. And no offers. If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it.
Chris
